Solar Powered Vent Openers and Endcaps

Today Rex and I (Brenda) attached the solar powered vent openers.  You might note that yesterday’s pics had the bar in the wrong position.  It should be parallel with the hinge side of the vent panel.  Like everything else, we do it wrong the first time!!

It was such a hot day, we weren’t too sure how this was working.  However, a storm cooled things off considerably early evening, the the vents automatically closed a measurable degree!  They work!!!!!

Please also note that there was no way to get the pics of both of us on the top of this ladder working on the vent opener!!!

We also put endcaps on the bottoms of panels at the foundation edge, and Rex screwed them in place.

ps  exciting update 7/9 . . . the solar powered vents work!!!  They began closing last night when a storm came up and cooled things off . . .they were shut this morning at about 70 degrees . . .and they qauickly opened as the temps rose this morning!!!!!
